On Photography by Susan Sontag

買這本書前看了一些書評，有些人對這本書很反感，認為Sontag對攝影的批評太偏激，這反而令我更想懷著認同的心去看書。

因為我想認真去攝影，需要最嚴厲的批評，去癲覆目前膠著的狀態。

看到這幾句，正正揭露我沉迷拍照的底蘊:

The photographer is always trying to colonize new experiences or find new ways to look at familiar subjects — to fight against boredom. For boredom is just the reverse side of fascination: both depend on being outside rather than inside a situation, and one leads to the other.

裡面提及自殺身亡的攝影師Dianne Arbus，轉述她說：

One of the things I felt I suffered from as a kid, was that I never felt adversity. I was confined in a sense of unreality… And the sense of being immune was, ludicrous as it seems, a painful one.

Update: can’t be defeated by mosquito, i revisited the park again and take more lotus shots… pity that still haven’t got enough time to visit the birds…

photoshop 乜都得之: lomo feel

一直覺得 Lomo 相機出來的效果很好，但礙於是 film camera 而沒有買來玩，今早手痕在網上搜尋好一會，最初找尋教用 Photoshop 弄出這個效果的辦法，後來發現可以用 action script 更方便，再 search，果然已有高手做好 lomo action script，download 後 double click 就會自動 load 到 photoshop 的 action box 內，只要一按 play，就做出 lomo 效果。網上有不同版本的lomo actions，不可以說那個最好，要因應相片拍攝的光線、顏色和 mood 來選。

另外，這個 The Ultimate Collection of Useful Photoshop Actions 更是集大成，還有 vintage, velvia… 等等交果，當中我覺得Photography Action Set最好，有齊以下效果:
