柳州行

九月份和十一月份到柳州拍攝，但回來後一直都很懶寫東西，最近把相片上載了，每張照片也有短短數字至兩句簡報，欲知詳情，則要待節目下年初出街時才有交待了。

一篇未完成的舊文…

幾年一度的大掃除，打掃完實體的家之後，亦整理了虛擬的家，發現了在去年九月時寫的一篇未完成文章:

「今年(2006年)五月參加台灣INPUT公共電視影展時認識一名印度製作人Abhijit Das Gupta，他一家都是電視製作人，Abhijit原本是電視台的高層，女兒亦原替BBC及CNN這些知名的國際電視台工作，但一家人卻放棄一般人認為在傳媒界中具有地位的工作，而創立一個私營公共電視台，專門拍攝有關教育醫療的節目，為貧窮的印度人服務。電視台靠私人資金營運(Sukriti Foundation)，每天只有五百美元作經費，但節目二十四小時播放，在電視台工作全部都是義工。

他們的經驗給我很大的啟示。近幾年來，一直思考自己往後在路要怎樣走，去年(2005年)拍攝了一輯有關城市人過渡消費如何令地球上另一角落的人受罪的紀錄片系列，花了精神，費了很多資源，終於完成了一個想拍了五年的題材。

但在主流電視台播放，節目在廣告、娛樂、肥皂劇集之間播出，在鼓吹消費的眾多節目裡，我的節目不過也是其中一個娛樂資訊節目而已。是的，在現今，「旁觀他人的痛苦」是舒舒服服地坐在電視機前，或許一邊大吃大喝，涼著冷氣，看著地球另一角的戰爭、悲劇的不斷重演。觀眾都看得麻木了嗎？那製作人的責任，就是利用各種表達手法，去讓觀眾有一個嶄新角度去感受悲劇，去讓麻木變為激情，激情發洩過後，觀眾或會感到自己在第一世界生活實在幸運；或感到自己能給與可鄰的人一點同情與捐助，而得到心靈上的充實；甚或從血腥暴力哭號中，獲得到官能上的刺激而感到快慰。

節目完了，又是排山倒海的廣告；接著是很無聊但頗搞笑的遊戲節目；或是很婆媽但卻會繼續追看的肥皂劇集…世間上的悲劇何其多，作為觀眾也是無能為力，看過，忿忿不平過，除了忘記，還可做什麼？

作為製作人，我亦不過是滿足自己四處遊歷的慾望而已。

有時我想：為什麼要拍片給電視觀眾看呢？

近年不斷想著要拍一些的題材，希望讓人反思人與自然的關係。城市化帶來種種問題，都與人愈來愈與大自然割裂有關── 迷信經濟與科技，相信人定勝天，卻忘記了人類只是大自然的一部分，於是為了發展，我們可以犧牲其他物種，我們可以任意大興土木，開山劈石…。

機緣巧合地，三年前替嘉道理農場拍攝一個有關「社區為本有機農業」(Community Assisted Agriculture, 簡稱CSA)的教育影片「從田野到餐桌」

在尋找未來方向時，有幸認識都廣西一班「愛農會」的成員，他們搞社區支持有機農業的工作。」

看完後都記起為什麼寫不完了，寫到最未兩段時，提到「從田野到餐桌」一片和「愛農會」的事情，兩件事又引發起兩個很長的故事，一如既往，心很散，寫了上述一大堆文字已屬罕有，所以繼續不了，今天把未完的文章都上載了，希望提醒自己，把未成的事都要繼續下去啊！

最新發展是，剛被港台外判計劃選到，拍攝「愛農會」的故事，可以繼續去進行擱下了一年的農村拍攝計劃了。不過現在很累的，也寫不下去，待續吧…

棄 豬

今 天 前 往 豬 場 拍 攝 時 ， 途 經 一 個 垃 圾 站 ， 裡 面 竟 然 有 一 頭 活 公 豬 ！ 牠 懶 洋 洋 地 睡 著 ， 最 初 還 以 為 是 頭 老 弱 病 豬 ， 後 來 跟 我 一 起 的 豬 場 老 板 估 計 ， 這 頭 豬 不 過 三 幾 歲 大 ， 而 且 健 康 良 好 ， 不 過 在 政 府 收 回 養 豬 牌 照 的 政 策 下 ， 被 附 近 的 豬 場 遺 棄 到 垃 圾 站 。 說 罷 果 然 見 公 豬 起 來 散 散 步 ， 還 拉 屎 呢 ， 老 板 說 牠 早 上 可 吃 得 挺 豐 富 吧 。

這 頭 公 豬 用 作 配 種 ， 一 般 公 豬 會 為 一 百 頭 母 豬 配 種 ， 五 年 左 右 產 量 會 下 降 ， 雖 然 豬 隻 可 以 活 到 十 多 二 十 歲 ， 但 「 精 盡 」 則 要 「 豬 亡 」 ， 豬 場 不 會 白 養 只 吃 不 善 生 產 的 公 豬 。 以 往 這 些 退 役 公 豬 會 被 屠 宰 ， 肉 雖 靭 ， 但 還 可 以 用 來 餚 湯 。 但 現 時 豬 肉 價 格 愈 來 愈 低 ， 而 且 有 冰 鮮 肉 、 走 私 肉 充 斥 市 場 ， 本 地 退 役 公 豬 的 屠 宰 成 本 也 要 三 百 多 元 ， 拿 去 市 場 賣 好 不 化 算 ， 豬 場 索 性 把 牠 們 棄 置 ， 或 送 往 政 府 狗 房 給 人 道 毀 滅 ， 屍 體 就 送 往 堆 填 區 去 。

其 實 香 港 人 也 好 不 了 多 少 ， 年 老 色 衰 ， 生 產 力 下 降 的 員 工 ， 愈 來 愈 多 也 被 老 板 遺 棄 。

令 我 想 起 愛 護 動 物 協 會 的 廣 告 ， 被 人 遺 棄 的 貓 狗 ， 罪 命 就 是 「 年 老 」、 「 失 寵 」 、 「 生 病 」 。 豬 是 食 物 不 是 寵 物 ， 命 途 就 更 慘 淡 了 ！

“Clos des Patris” 酒 莊 - 2006 葡 萄 收 成

馬 賽 友 人 Clod 在 九 月 時 於 一 個 名 為 Clos des Patris 的 有 機 酒 莊 裡 工 作 ， 我 也 想 在 下 年 到 那 兒 協 助 收 割 與 釀 酒 啊 ！ 以 下 是 Clod 的 酒 莊 手 記 ：

During the 14th -15th centuries, Popes settled in Avignon. Winegrowing became an advantageous business in the region. Vineyards are properties of rich bishops and princes properties.

Yves Morard, owner of Clos des Patris, lives in Caromb, his vines are in Caromb, Mazan and Bédouin; his wine stamped “Côtes du Ventoux.”

In France, a new class of winemakers known as “chefs” arise — they emphasize quality, purity and natural perfumes of the grapes. The unique art of caring the grapes has been here for centuries. People have such sense in their blood, some may even say in their reptilian brain. More

“Clos des Patris” 酒 莊 - 釀 酒 記

友 人 Clod 的 酒 莊 手 記 釀 酒 篇 ：

Wine is created by mixing different energies in a big tank. A kind of caldron!

The left pic is taken inside the “Clos des Patris” cellar. You can see Xristof climbed up the tank with a hose full of juice.

Sweating under the heat of the roof, you can hardly stay longer than 30 minutes at the top of the tank, which is a carbon rich area. Temperature control (below 29C) and pigeage (pronounce : peejaj ) are definitively vital for wine process.

First we need machines, long hoses and a certain level of imagination; second, only arms and energy. Of course this becomes rarer because in big cellars everything is machinerized and computerized to produce more at lower cost. Then government, euro laws and the World market keep producers to this philosophy: more benefits, more quantity, more degrees, less people, etc. It’s also a new fashion to make strong wines. A decade ago wines at 13-14° are rare and most of them came from Burgundy or Côtes-du-Rhône. Now it’s everywhere! More

In the last village we visited, we saw several beautiful butterflies feeding over the fields.

They are attracted to the manure which has been applied to the land not long ago.

Visit to Qinmo and Experimental Rice Duck Eco-farm at Xin Tang

A fieldtrip with the GreenField Foundation in search of unpolluted land for biodynamic farming in Qinmo Village last weekend!

Thunderstorm warning was issued on the day we went to Qinmo (琴模), a village in rural Zhaoqing (肇慶) of Guangdong. On our way, an overturned truck jammed the traffic for over an hour near Guangzhou… then a flooding road awaiting us along Xi Jiang (西江, literally meaning the “West River”) when we are approaching Huaiji (懷集). Mission of the day is to search for suitable piece of land in Qinmo village for biodynamic farming… More pics!

Sunny the next day, we headed towards the experimental rice duck project of the South China Agriculture University at Xin Tang (新塘, literally meaning the “New Pond”) near Zeng Cheng (增城) the town of lychee. Ducks are reared in paddy fields to create a better eco-system… More pics!
