Commissioned by Kadoorie Farm and Botanic Garden, this film profiles the revival of organic farming in Hong Kong. |
Program teaser:
First part of the film tells the stories of organic farmers, profiling the hard work at organic farms, and how difficult to find a piece of land suitable for organic farming in a compact city like Hong Kong.
Let’s take a look at the hark work involving insect protection and clearing weeds:
Techniques on preserving good breeds, making compost and mixed farming; and Farmer Cheong’s pledge to devote himself in organic farming!
Go with Farmer Liu to find a suitable piece of farmland, it’s really not that easy!
Second part tells the story of the consumers. We profile how a group of Organic Ambassadors help local organic farmers promote their produce.
The consumers even ask the farmer to raise the prices!
